Winnipeg Blue Bombers fight song circa 1970’s   4 comments

The Blue Bombers are in the Eastern conference final this weekend so I thought I would add some musical titillation to the occasion.  This is the Blue Bombers fight song from the early 1970’s.  It sounds like it was arranged and performed by Lawrence Welk’s polka band.

  1. Thanks Marko. they used to pump this goofy song over the p.a. system at Wpg Stadium when the Bombers took to the field well into the 90s.

  2. I was at the last Bombers home game and they started playing that ear agonizing awful thing. A bunch of fans started jiving to it. When it played I was expecting Mickey Mouse and Goofy to start prancing around.

  3. It is a lovely song. What a nostalgia trip. Sounds like such good time family thing.

  4. Ed, I really hope there is a tinge of sarcasm in your comment. A third of Blue Bomber fans at games are wild beer guzzling hell raisers that would very much prefer some Metallica.
